CHRISTINA DRESSEL

Validation Technician II, Technical Operations

Christina Dressel

How long have you been with MMQCI and how did you first learn about our company?
I have been with MMQCI since July 2020. I came across the listing shortly after my college graduation while I was searching for positions at biotechnology companies in Maine.

What are your primary responsibilities?

  • Validating and maintaining equipment, assays, and processes.
  • Performing environmental testing of the facility.
  • Overseeing stability studies of products (planning, testing, analysis).

Describe MMQCI in three words:
Collaborative, meticulous, driven

How would you describe your team?
Technical Operations is a diligent team with a very dynamic role within the company. We have many things to keep track of on a daily basis such as maintenance, calibrations, etc. But we also are constantly working on long-term validation/stability projects and assisting with troubleshooting any issues that arise at random. No two days are ever alike.

What are some of the biggest changes you’ve seen since joining MMQCI?
When I first started, our building expansion was only a foundation. Transitioning to the new labs and the work of validating everything in the new space certainly kept me busy for my first two years. It has been very exciting to be a part of!

What do you like to do in your free time?
Sing, crochet, read, and bike.

Where is your happy place in Maine?
Spear Farm Estuary Preserve in Yarmouth. It has beautiful walking trails, an estuary, and lots of opportunities for wildlife spotting. There is a section of the freshwater pond where I’ve seen 20+ turtles congregate.

Where were you born and raised?
Yarmouth, ME

What is something about you that most people don’t know?
I majored in Spanish as well as biology at the College of the Holy Cross. I completed a language immersion program in Leon, Spain in 2018.
