Manufacturing Technician II
How long have you been with MMQCI and how did you first learn about our company?
I have been at MMQCI since June of 2022.
What are your primary responsibilities?
Working with manufacturing to build bulk product, preparing/purifying RNA and DNA, and finishing all leftover food in the office.

What do you like best about MMQCI?
You are appreciated by management and can rely on your coworkers to get things done.
How would you describe your team?
Hardworking and communicative, but we have a lot of fun in-between.
What are some of the biggest changes you’ve seen since joining MMQCI?
Going from 50 people when I started to over 80 now. Seeing the company go from small to medium size and moving into the newly renovated area is exciting.
What are the toughest challenges you’ve had at work?
Going to work at 530am in 2.5 feet of snow for a cell fix procedure (I signed up for it).
What has your experience been with our company culture?
I did not win the glove toss during the company picnic but am still treated like a winner.
What do you like to do in your free time?
Group fitness, traveling to see friends, camping, and hiking.
What’s the most unique part about working at MMQCI?
I can wear leggings to work.
Where is your happy place in Maine?
Jordan Pond House in Acadia National Park (really good popovers and jam with a view).
What’s your secret talent that most people don’t know about?
I can fix or learn how to do almost anything as long as I have access to Google or a YouTube video. This is very useful for car problems and/or adding car modifications.
In terms of successes, which accomplishments are you most proud of?
Graduating college and immediately moving to Washington D.C during the pandemic. After that is probably moving to Maine for this job.
What’s one thing that’s on your “Bucket List”?
To backpack the Pemigewasset (Pemi) Loop in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. It is about 32 miles with 8 peaks and my goal is to complete it within 3 days.
What piece of advice would you give to your younger self?
Apply for more reach jobs before you graduate college to get a head start on your career.
What do you enjoy most about working here?
Relaxed culture, friendly people, occasional donuts.
Where were you born and raised?
Born in Gaithersburg, Maryland, but raised in Colchester, Vermont!
Who are some of your biggest inspirations, and why?
My father for teaching himself how to do everything, and my coworkers who entertain me.
What’s one thing that surprised you about your current role?
Discovering how different academic research vs industry jobs are.
What’s the last song you listened to?
Surround Sound by J.I.D.
How have you grown professionally since you’ve joined the MMQCI team?
Gained industry experience and becoming an expert at using SOPs.
What, if anything, are you currently binge-watching? Or reading?
Currently binge-watching Alone Season 9 on Hulu!
What is something about you that most people don’t know?
I am very frugal- and can find any item for a discount or free. Expert bargain shopper.
